Start with the scoring rules
A good fantasy selection begins with the rules of the contest you are entering. In the Wynso cricket format described on this website, the captain receives twice their base points and the vice-captain receives one and a half times their base points. Confirm the published contest rules before selecting your XI.
Compare roles, not just reputations
A familiar name is a starting point for research. Consider whether a batter is expected to open, whether a bowler is likely to complete their overs and whether an all-rounder has a meaningful role in both innings. Use announced lineups where available rather than treating a predicted XI as confirmed.
A simple example
A player who earns 40 base points would contribute 80 as captain or 60 as vice-captain. The multiplier adds value only to the points actually earned, so a famous name does not guarantee a strong return.
Check the fixture
Confirm the format, venue, start time and team-lock deadline. An ODI and a T20 may require different selection priorities. Revisit your choices when official team news changes.
Keep the experience in perspective
Fantasy sport combines preparation with uncertain sporting outcomes. Use the scoring demo on the Wynso homepage to explore the multipliers without entering a contest.
